India Will Soon Have 100 Official Apple Stores

Earlier this month, the Economic Times reported that the Tata Group was in negotiations to purchase Wistron Corp's (3231.TW) only manufacturing site in India for much of 50 billion rupees ($605 million).

Infiniti Retail, a division of the Tata Group that oversees the chain of Croma consumer electronics stores, will open shops in neighbourhood sites, high-traffic areas, and malls.

Tata and Taiwan's Wistron — one of Apple's best sellers in India — were in discourse to set up a joint wander to gather iPhones in India, Bloomberg detailed in September.
